The 3M™ Trizact™ cloth belt 237AA measures 25" x 60" and features A16 grit aluminum oxide abrasive formed into tiny pyramids using proprietary microreplication technology, coated on an X-weight cloth backing. This design ensures fresh, sharp mineral exposure as the pyramids wear, delivering a consistent cut and fine finish. The abrasive and resin structure breaks down under medium pressure, maintaining sharpness for consistent finishes on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. The belt includes a grinding aid to prevent heat buildup, warping, and discoloration, while its resin-bonded abrasive offers greater heat resistance and helps prevent delamination. Constructed with a durable X-weight cloth backing, the belt provides control, conformability, and effective medium-pressure grinding. The belt ends are joined by a film media splice, a thin film-joining media that minimizes chatter marks, ensures smooth running, and consistent finishing results. Compared to conventional abrasives, the Trizact™ belts start sharp and stay sharp, lasting up to five times longer and enabling fewer abrasive products and process steps due to precise finish control. The three-dimensional abrasive structures are uniformly distributed to ensure consistent performance and eliminate product-to-product variation.
