The 3M™ paper belt 364UZ measures 50" x 103" with P150 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It features a premium aluminum oxide mineral known for its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and long life, suitable for sanding and finishing on various substrates including woodworking and metalworking materials such as ferrous alloys. The belt has an open coat construction that resists loading, particularly on soft wood, and is coated on an F-weight paper backing, one of the heaviest and most rigid paper backings available, enabling finer finishes than cloth-backed belts of the same grit. The F-weight paper backing provides smooth operation and durability, while the open coat design helps prevent clogging. The belt incorporates 3M Dust Management technology to reduce static cling of dust particles, facilitating easier evacuation when used with an effective dust collection system. The belt ends are joined with a sine wave splice, enhancing belt strength, resisting hinging and splice fatigue, allowing smooth travel over contact wheels and platens, minimizing chatter marks, and ensuring smooth operation in either direction for consistent finishing results. This sanding belt is designed for use with a range of belt sanders on various applications involving wood and metal.
