The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 2" x 132" and features A100 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids and coated on a J weight rayon backing. This design ensures that as the abrasive pyramids wear down, fresh, sharp mineral is continually exposed, providing a consistent cut and predictable, fine finish. The belt is suitable for applications such as blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is used across industries including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
