The 3M™ Trisect™ 60600142545 cloth belt 217EA measures 3" x 132" and features A16 grit aluminum oxide abrasive and resin structure designed to break down under medium pressure while maintaining fresh, sharp mineral cutting for consistent finishes on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. It includes a grinding aid to help prevent heat buildup, warping, and discoloration. The belt is constructed on a J-weight durable cloth backing that provides control, conformability, and effective medium-pressure grinding, with resin-bonded abrasive offering greater heat resistance and reduced delaminating. It uses a film media splice, a strong, secure bond joining the belt ends with a thin film-joining media that minimizes chatter marks, ensuring smooth running and consistent finishing results. Proprietary Trisect™ abrasives produce a finer finish, achieve faster results, and last longer than conventional abrasives. These belts start sharp and stay sharp, providing predictable finishes and improved, consistent quality, lasting up to five times longer than conventional belts. They allow for precise finish control, enabling operators to reduce grade sequences and process steps. The three-dimensional structures are uniformly distributed over the entire abrasive surface to ensure consistent performance and eliminate part-to-part variation.
