The 3M™ Paper Belt 364UZ measures 52" x 103" and features P180 grit aluminum oxide abrasive mineral. It is constructed with a premium aluminum oxide mineral on an F-weight paper backing, one of the heaviest and most rigid paper backings available, providing smooth operation and durability. The belt has an open coat construction to resist loading, especially on soft wood, and incorporates 3M Dust Management Technology to reduce static cling of dust particles, allowing easier evacuation with an efficient dust collection system. The belt ends are joined using a sine wave splice that enhances belt strength, resists hinging and splice fatigue, travels smoothly over contact wheels and platens, minimizes chatter marks, and supports smooth operation in either direction for consistent finishing results. The aluminum oxide abrasive is known for its high cut rate, hardness, strength, long life, and low heat retention, making it suitable for sanding and finishing on a wide variety of substrates in woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
