The 3M™ paper belt 364UZ measures 52" x 75" and features P180 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It is constructed with a premium aluminum oxide mineral known for its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, making it suitable for sanding and finishing applications on a wide variety of substrates including wood and ferrous metal alloys. The belt has an open coat construction, which provides resistance to loading, especially on soft wood, and is coated on an F-weight paper backing, one of the heaviest and most rigid paper backings available, that achieves finer finishes than cloth-backed belts in the same grade. The abrasive side features 3M dust management technology, reducing static cling and facilitating particle evacuation when used with an efficient dust collection system. The belt ends are joined with a sine wave splice, enhancing belt strength, resisting hinging and fatigue, traveling smoothly over contact wheels and platens, minimizing chatter marks, and promoting smooth operation in either direction for consistent finishing results.
