The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 2 inches by 132 inches and features A45 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral coated on a J weight rayon backing. As these abrasive pyramids wear down, fresh, sharp mineral is continually exposed to ensure a consistent cut and a predictable fine finish. The belt is designed for applications such as blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is suitable for industries including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
