The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 2" x 132" and features A16 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids and coated on a J weight rayon backing. This design allows fresh, sharp mineral to be continually exposed as the pyramids wear, resulting in a consistent cut and predictable fine finish. The belt is suited for applications such as blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is applicable in industries including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
