The 3M™ paper belt 366UZ measures 37" x 75" and features a P220 grit aluminum oxide abrasive constructed with premium aluminum oxide mineral in a closed coat format. It is an anti-static product that resists loading and is coated on a heavy F-weight paper backing, which is one of the heaviest and most rigid paper backings available, providing smooth operation, durability, and finer finishes than cloth backed belts in the same grade. The abrasive side has a closed coat structure with greater grain density to achieve finer finishes than open coat belts. The belt includes 3M dust management technology that reduces static in dust particles, enabling easier removal when used with efficient dust collection systems. The belt ends are joined using a film media splice, which is a strong secure bond of thin film-joining media that minimizes chatter marks and ensures a smooth running belt in either direction for consistent finishing results. The aluminum oxide abrasive is a tough, durable mineral that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges during use, providing a high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, making it suitable for sanding and finishing applications on a wide variety of substrates, including woodworking and metalworking with ferrous alloys.
