The belt features a semi-closed coat with a closed coat abrasive side, providing greater grain density for effective sanding and finishing of flat woodworking surfaces. The paper backing supports smooth operation and frequent replacements, while the belt includes dust management technology to reduce static cling and enhance dust removal when used with a dust collection system. Its belt ends are joined by an interlocking sine wave splice that increases strength, resists hinging and splice fatigue, and ensures smooth travel over contact wheels and platens to minimize chatter marks and operate consistently in either direction. P-graded abrasive grains are screened to a finer tolerance, producing a more uniform surface finish.
