The 3M™ TriSect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 2" x 132" and features A80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral and coated on a J weight rayon backing. This design ensures that as the abrasive pyramids wear, fresh, sharp mineral is continually exposed, providing a consistent cut and predictable fine finish. The belt is suitable for applications including blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It serves industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
