The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 4" x 132" and features A16 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral, coated on a J weight rayon backing. As these abrasive pyramids wear down, fresh sharp mineral is continually exposed, ensuring a consistent cut and predictable fine finish. The belt is designed for applications including blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It serves industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
