The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 2 inches by 148 inches and features A65 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral coated on a J weight rayon backing. As the pyramids wear, fresh, sharp mineral is continually exposed to provide a consistent cut and predictable fine finish. The belt is suitable for applications including blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is designed for use in industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
