The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 2 inches by 148 inches and features A30 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids coated on a J weight rayon backing. As the abrasive pyramids wear down, fresh sharp mineral is continually exposed, ensuring a consistent cut and a predictable fine finish. The belt is designed for applications including blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is suitable for industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
