The 3M™ TRISECT™ cloth belt 237AA measures 2" x 34" with A100 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It features an abrasive and resin structure formulated to break down under medium pressure, maintaining fresh, sharp mineral cutting for consistent finishes on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. The belt includes a grinding aid to prevent heat buildup, warping, and discoloration, and is constructed on an X-weight, durable cloth backing that provides control, conformability, and effective medium-pressure grinding. The resin-bonded abrasive offers greater heat resistance and reduces delaminating. The belt ends are joined with a film media splice, a thin film-joining media that minimizes chatter marks and ensures smooth running and consistent finishing results. Proprietary TRISECT™ abrasives produce a finer finish, achieve faster results, and last longer than conventional abrasive products, with belts lasting up to five times longer. The three-dimensional abrasive structures uniformly distributed over the surface ensure consistent performance and eliminate disc-to-disc variation. Applications include blending, centerless and cylindrical grinding, finishing, flat finishing, refining, and stroke sanding, serving industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
