The 3M™ TriSect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 2" x 72" and features A16 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It employs proprietary micro replication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral coated on a J weight rayon backing. As these abrasive pyramids wear down, fresh sharp mineral is continuously exposed, ensuring a consistent cut and predictable fine finish. This cloth belt is suitable for applications including blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is used in industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
