The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 2" x 96" and features A30 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids on a J weight rayon backing. As the pyramids wear down, fresh, sharp mineral is continually exposed, ensuring a consistent cut and a predictable, fine finish. This belt is suitable for applications such as blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is used in industries including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
