The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 3 inches by 168 inches and features A16 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary Micro Replication technology where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids and coated on a J weight rayon backing. This design ensures that as the pyramids wear down, fresh sharp mineral is continually exposed, providing a consistent cut and a predictable fine finish. The belt is suitable for applications including blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It serves industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
