The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 4" x 168" and features an A80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral coated on a J weight rayon backing. As these pyramids wear, fresh and sharp mineral is continually exposed, resulting in a consistent cut and predictable, fine finish. This belt is suitable for applications such as blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is used across industries including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
