The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 5" x 73" and features A100 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral and coated on a J weight rayon backing. As these abrasive pyramids wear down, fresh, sharp mineral is continually exposed, resulting in a consistent cut and a predictable, fine finish. This belt is suited for applications including blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is used across industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
