The 3M™ Trisect™ Cloth Belt 217EA measures 2-1/2" x 132" and features A30 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral, which are coated on a J weight rayon backing. This unique structure ensures that as the abrasive pyramids wear down, fresh, sharp mineral is continually exposed, resulting in a consistent cut and a predictable, fine finish. The belt is designed for applications including blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping, and is suitable for industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
