The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 3" x 168" and features A6 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It employs proprietary Micro Replication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral and coated on a J weight rayon backing. This design allows fresh, sharp mineral to be continually exposed as the pyramids wear, ensuring a consistent cut and predictable, fine finish. The belt is suitable for applications such as blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping across industries including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
