The 3M™ TriSect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 3 inches by 90 inches and features A45 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles form tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral coated on a J weight rayon backing. As the pyramids wear, fresh, sharp mineral is continually exposed, providing a consistent cut and predictable fine finish. This belt is suitable for applications such as blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping, and is used in industries including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
