The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 6 inches by 264 inches and features A80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It employs proprietary micro replication technology, in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are shaped into tiny pyramids and coated onto a J weight rayon backing. As these abrasive pyramids wear down, fresh, sharp mineral is continually exposed, providing a consistent cut and a predictable, fine finish. This belt is suitable for applications such as blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is used across various industries, including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
