The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 6" x 168" with A45 grit aluminum oxide and features proprietary micro replication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral coated on a J weight rayon backing. This design allows fresh, sharp mineral to be continually exposed as the pyramids wear, ensuring a consistent cut and a predictable fine finish. The belt is suitable for applications including blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is used in industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
