The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 237AA measures 2" x 132" and features A30 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. Its abrasive and resin structure is designed to break down under medium pressure, maintaining fresh, sharp mineral cutting for consistent finishes on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. The belt includes a grinding aid that helps prevent heat buildup, warping, and discoloration. Constructed on an X-weight durable cloth backing, it provides control, conformability, and effective medium-pressure grinding. The resin bonded abrasive offers greater heat resistance and helps prevent delaminating. The belt uses a film media splice, a thin film-joining media that securely bonds the belt ends to minimize chatter marks and ensure smooth running, consistent finishing results. Proprietary Trisect™ abrasives produce a finer finish, achieve results faster, and last longer compared to conventional abrasive products, starting sharp and staying sharp for predictable finishes and consistent quality. These belts can last up to five times longer than conventional discs and provide precise finish control that reduces grade sequences and minimizes process steps. The three-dimensional abrasive structures uniformly distributed across the surface ensure consistent performance and eliminate disc-to-disc variation. Applications include blending, centerless and cylindrical grinding, finishing, flat finishing, refining, and stroke sanding.
