The 3M™ Trizact™ cloth belt 237AA measures 25" x 60" and features A65 grit aluminum oxide abrasive formed into tiny pyramids using proprietary microreplication technology on an X-weight cloth backing. These micron-graded abrasive particles wear down to expose fresh sharp mineral, producing a consistent cut and fine finish. The abrasive and resin structure is designed to break down under medium pressure, maintaining sharp mineral cutting for consistent finishes on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. It incorporates a grinding aid to prevent heat buildup, warping, and discoloration. The belt is constructed with a durable X-weight cloth backing for control, conformability, and effective medium-pressure grinding, while the resin bonded abrasive enhances heat resistance and prevents delaminating. The belt ends are joined with a film media splice, a strong bond made of thin film-joining media that minimizes chatter marks, ensuring smooth belt operation and consistent finishing results. Compared to conventional abrasives, 3M™ Trizact™ abrasives achieve finer finishes faster and last up to five times longer, starting sharp and staying sharp to provide predictable finishes and improved quality. Their three-dimensional structures are uniformly distributed across the surface, eliminating disc-to-disc variation and allowing operators to reduce grade sequences, process steps, and abrasive products needed.
