The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 1-1/4" x 64" and features A65 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral coated on a J weight rayon backing. As the pyramids wear down, fresh, sharp mineral is continually exposed to maintain a consistent cut and predictable fine finish. The belt is designed for applications including blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is suitable for industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
