The 3M™ TriSect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 2-3/8" x 37" and features A30 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids and coated on a J weight rayon backing. As these abrasive pyramids wear down, fresh sharp mineral is continually exposed, ensuring a consistent cut and a predictable, fine finish. The belt is designed for applications such as blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is suitable for use in industries including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
