The 3M™ TriSect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 2-3/8" x 37" and features A6 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids and coated on a J weight rayon backing. This design exposes fresh, sharp mineral as the pyramids wear, ensuring a consistent cut and predictable, fine finish. The belt is suitable for applications including blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is used across industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
