The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 4" x 118" and features A16 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral coated on a J weight rayon backing. As these pyramids wear down, fresh sharp mineral is continuously exposed, providing a consistent cut and a predictable, fine finish. This belt is suitable for applications such as blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is used in industries including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
