The 3M™ TriSect™ cloth belt 217EA measures 4" x 118" and features A45 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It utilizes proprietary micro replication technology where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral coated on a J weight rayon backing. This design ensures that as the pyramids wear down, fresh, sharp mineral is continually exposed to provide a consistent cut and predictable, fine finish. The belt is suitable for applications including blending, finishing, intermediate finishing, polishing, and shaping. It is used across industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
