The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ SE surface conditioning belt measures 3/4" x 18" and features a coarse grade aluminum oxide abrasive designed for cleaning, blending, deburring, and finishing a variety of metals. Constructed from resin-reinforced non-woven fiber, the belt resists loading and prevents under-cutting or gouging of the workpiece, exhibiting high initial and extended cut rates with superior edge durability, suitable for low stretch applications. Embedded with a woven fabric scrim within the nylon structure, the belt offers additional strength and durability for edge work, deburring, and efficient blending across all metal types. The non-woven material combined with abrasive grain ensures excellent finishing and burr removal performance. Aluminum oxide abrasive is chosen for its toughness, durability, self-fracturing ability to expose fresh cutting edges, high cut rate, hardness, strength, low heat retention, and suitability for various substrates including ferrous alloys. Belt sanders employing this belt facilitate rapid grinding, sanding, and finishing, maintaining efficiency by resisting clogging unlike sanding wheels and discs.
