The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ durable flex belt 3/4" x 18" with aluminum oxide CRS grit is designed for tough detail work such as deburring, blending, and finishing various metals. It features a reinforced, low-stretch backing with superior edge durability for aggressive cutting, and its non-woven fiber material runs cool, resists loading, and withstands edge work. The belt uses aluminum oxide abrasives, known for high cut-rate, hardness, strength, long life, and low heat retention, making it suitable for woodworking and metalworking applications including ferrous alloys. The belt measures 3/4" wide by 18" long, distinguished by its purple backing. Ideal for use with belt sanders, it provides rapid grinding, sanding, and finishing without clogging due to grooves in the abrasive belt that open around the drive wheel arc. Applications include blending, blending corners, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, fine and flat finishing, setting the grain, stainless steel finishing, and creating a straightline brushed finish, primarily for the metalworking industry.
