The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Durable Flex Belt measures 3/4" x 18" and features an aluminum oxide medium grit abrasive designed for tough detail work such as deburring, blending, and finishing on various metals. The belt incorporates a reinforced, low-stretch backing with superior edge durability for aggressive cutting performance, and its non-woven fiber material runs cool, resists loading, and maintains edge work durability. The aluminum oxide abrasive provides consistent finishing performance throughout the belt’s life, and the purple backing distinguishes all Scotch-Brite™ durable flex belts. Aluminum oxide is a preferred abrasive mineral for industrial professionals due to its high cut rate, hardness, strength, long life, self-fracturing properties to expose fresh cutting edges, and low heat retention, making it suitable for grinding, sanding, and finishing across wood and metal substrates, including ferrous alloys.
