The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning belt measures 1-1/2" x 18-1/2" and features aluminum oxide with a medium grit designed for durable, detailed work including blending, blending corners, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring edges, fine finishing, flat finishing, setting the grain, stainless steel finishing, and achieving straightline-brushed finishes on various metals. These belts effectively remove coarse grindlines, mill marks, and small burrs left by cutting tools or conventional abrasives. Available in multiple widths and lengths, they are compatible with a range of belt sanding tools for applications on both wood and metal. The aluminum oxide abrasive mineral is a hard, blocky material that provides a high cut rate and long life. Scotch-Brite™ SC surface conditioning belts are manufactured to fit most industrial belt sanders, including wide belt sanders for large wood panels, medium-width belts for edge or portable belt sanders on wood pieces like cabinet doors, and narrow belts for metalworking in small areas or inside corners. Belt sanders using these abrasive belts offer rapid grinding, sanding, and finishing on various surfaces without clogging, thanks to the small grooves in the belt that open around the drive wheel arc.
