The 3M™ Trisect™ Cloth Belt 407EA measures 1" x 72" and features an A110 grit silicon carbide abrasive designed for low to medium pressure applications. It has a flexible JE-weight cloth backing that allows the belt to conform to surface contours, providing a superior finish by responding to surface imperfections. The abrasive includes a grinding aid to help it run cool, reducing the risk of discoloring or warping substrates due to heat, and is available in a range of grades from A110 to A20. This cloth belt uses 3M’s patented Micro Replication technology, in which small three-dimensional pyramid structures containing layers of mineral break down during use to expose fresh mineral continuously, maintaining sharpness and consistent cutting action. This reduces the need for frequent abrasive changes, contributing to higher throughput and productivity, and provides uniform mineral distribution for consistent finishes. The 3M™ Trisect™ abrasives are ideal for precision applications such as blending, centerless and cylindrical grinding, intermediate finishing, shaping metalworking, and are widely used in industries including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating, and polishing.
