The 3M™ Trizact™ cloth belt 407EA measures 1/2" x 12" and features silicon carbide A110 grit designed for effectively blending and polishing various metal substrates during light-pressure dimensioning and finishing. It is intended for low to medium pressure applications, providing sharp cutting that conforms to the substrate. The belt has a flexible JE-weight backing that allows the abrasive to follow surface contours and respond to imperfections for a superior finish. It incorporates a grinding aid that helps the belt run cool, reducing the risk of discoloration or warping due to heat. The abrasive is available in a range of grades descending from A110 to A20. Utilizing patented 3M Microreplication technology, the abrasive surface consists of small three-dimensional pyramid structures containing layers of mineral that break down with use to continually expose fresh mineral, maintaining sharpness and consistent cutting action, which increases throughput and productivity. The mineral is uniformly distributed to ensure fixed, consistent contact with the workpiece. 3M™ Trizact™ abrasives are suitable for demanding applications such as medical implants, surgical tools, and automotive transmission components, delivering consistent finishes part after part. The abrasives are coated and bonded and primarily serve industries including manufacturing.
