The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ SE surface conditioning belt measures 1/2" by 12" and features a coarse grade aluminum oxide abrasive designed for cleaning, blending, deburring, and finishing various metals, including ferrous alloys. Constructed with resin-reinforced non-woven fiber, the belt resists loading and prevents under-cutting or gouging of the workpiece while delivering high initial and sustained cut rates alongside superior edge durability. Embedded with a woven fabric scrim within the nylon structure, the belt offers increased strength and durability for edge work and efficient blending. Aluminum oxide, known for its toughness, self-fracturing properties, high hardness, strength, low heat retention, and long life, ensures reliable grinding performance in sanding and finishing applications. Suitable for use with low stretch applications, these surface conditioning belts provide effective finishing without clogging like traditional sanding wheels and discs, making them ideal for rapid grinding and sanding tasks on a variety of surfaces.
