The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ SE surface conditioning belt measures 1" x 30" and features a resin-reinforced non-woven fiber construction with coarse grade aluminum oxide abrasive, designed for use on CRS grit surfaces. This belt resists loading and prevents under-cutting or gouging of the workpiece, providing high initial and extended rates of cut with superior edge durability, suitable for low stretch applications. It incorporates a woven fabric scrim embedded in the nylon structure to enhance strength and durability, ideal for edge work, deburring, and efficient blending of all metal types. The aluminum oxide mineral abrasive is known for its toughness, durability, and self-fracturing properties, exposing fresh cutting edges during use, and is effective for grinding, sanding, and finishing a wide variety of substrates including ferrous alloys in both woodworking and metalworking. Compared to sanding wheels and discs, belt sanders using this product resist clogging due to small grooves that open around the drive wheel arc, maintaining sanding efficiency. The belt supports applications such as blending, blending corners, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, fine finishing, finishing, and flat finishing.
