The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Durable Flex Belt measures 1/4" x 18" and features aluminum oxide medium grit abrasives designed for tough detail work such as deburring, blending, and finishing on a variety of metals. This belt includes a reinforced, low-stretch backing with superior edge durability that provides aggressive cutting ability. The non-woven fiber material runs cool, resists loading, and withstands edge work, while the aluminum oxide abrasive ensures effective cutting action and consistent finishing performance over the life of the belt. Distinguished by a purple backing, the belt utilizes aluminum oxide, a durable abrasive known for its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, suitable for grinding, sanding, and finishing on ferrous alloys and various substrates in woodworking and metalworking.
