The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Durable Flex Belt measures 1/4" x 24" and features aluminum oxide abrasive with a fine grit. It is designed for tough detail work such as deburring, blending, and finishing on various metals. The belt has a reinforced, low-stretch backing with superior edge durability that provides aggressive cutting ability and sustained finishing performance. Its non-woven fiber material runs cool, resists loading, and withstands edge work. Aluminum oxide abrasives are known for their high cut rate, hardness, strength, low heat retention, and long life, making this belt suitable for woodworking and metalworking applications, including use on ferrous alloys. This belt is identifiable by its purple backing and is effective for blending corners, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, fine finishing, flat finishing, setting the grain, stainless steel finishing, and achieving a straight line brushed finish.
