The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ SE surface conditioning belt measures 1/2" x 18" and features a fine grit aluminum oxide abrasive that is resin-reinforced with non-woven fiber to resist loading, under-cutting, and gouging. Designed for cleaning, blending, deburring, and finishing a variety of metals, the belt includes a woven fabric scrim embedded in the nylon structure for added strength and durability during edge work and efficient blending. The aluminum oxide abrasive is coarse grade, known for its high initial and extended rates of cut, superior edge durability, toughness, strength, and low heat retention. This mineral self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges during use, making it ideal for grinding applications on ferrous alloys and other substrates in woodworking and metalworking. All belts are suitable for low-stretch applications and are intended for use with belt sanders, which provide rapid grinding, sanding, and finishing without clogging due to the belt’s abrasive design.
