The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ SE Surface Conditioning Belt measures 2" x 72" and is constructed of resin-reinforced non-woven fiber combined with coarse grit aluminum oxide abrasive. Designed to resist loading and prevent under-cutting or gouging of the workpiece, this belt features a woven fabric (scrim) embedded in the nylon structure to enhance strength and durability, particularly for edge work, deburring, and efficient blending of all metal types. The aluminum oxide abrasive is tough, durable, and self-fractures during use, providing a high initial and extended cut rate along with superior edge durability, making it suitable for rapid grinding, sanding, and finishing applications on a wide variety of substrates including ferrous alloys in both woodworking and metalworking. The belts are appropriate for low stretch applications and maintain effectiveness without clogging due to small grooves that open as the belt moves around the drive wheel. This product is designed for blending, blending corners, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, fine finishing, flat finishing, and setting the grade.
