The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 237AA measures 4" x 90" and features A45 grit aluminum oxide abrasive with an abrasive and resin structure designed to break down under medium pressure, maintaining fresh, sharp mineral cutting for consistent finishes on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. It includes a grinding aid to help prevent heat buildup, warping, and discoloration. The belt is built on an X-weight durable cloth backing that provides control, conformability, and effective medium-pressure grinding. The resin bonded abrasive enhances heat resistance and helps prevent delaminating. The belt incorporates a film media splice, a strong, secure bond joining the belt ends with a thin film-joining media that minimizes chatter marks, ensuring smooth running and consistent finishing results. The proprietary Trisect™ abrasives produce a finer finish, achieve results faster, and last longer than conventional abrasive products, starting sharp and staying sharp for more predictable finishes and improved quality. These belts can last up to five times longer than conventional discs and offer precise finish control that allows operators to reduce grade sequences, requiring fewer process steps and abrasive products. Their three-dimensional abrasive structures are uniformly distributed across the surface to ensure consistent performance and eliminate disc-to-disc variation. Applications include blending, centerless and cylindrical grinding, finishing, flat finishing, refining, and stroke sanding.
