The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 307EA measures 2" x 132" and features A100 grit aluminum oxide abrasive with a resin structure designed to break down under medium pressure, maintaining fresh, sharp mineral cutting for consistent finishes on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. It includes a grinding aid to help prevent heat buildup, warping, and discoloration. The belt is constructed on a durable cloth backing that provides control, conformability, and effective medium-pressure grinding, with resin bonded abrasive offering greater heat resistance and delamination prevention. A film media splice securely joins the belt ends with a thin film-joining media that minimizes chatter marks for smooth running and consistent finishing. Compared to conventional abrasives, the proprietary Trisect™ abrasives produce finer finishes, achieve faster results, and last up to five times longer, providing precise finish control that allows for reduced grade sequences, fewer process steps, and fewer abrasive products. The three-dimensional abrasive structures are uniformly distributed to ensure consistent performance and eliminate part-to-part variation. The belt is suitable for applications including blending, finishing, and polishing across industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
