The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 407EA measures 2" x 72" and features A20 grit silicon carbide, designed for low to medium pressure applications. It includes a flexible JE-weight backing that allows the abrasive to follow surface contours and respond to imperfections for a superior finish. The abrasive incorporates a grinding aid to help it run cool, reducing the risk of discoloration or warping due to heat, and is available in grades ranging from A110 to A20. Utilizing patented 3M™ micro replication technology, the belt contains small three-dimensional pyramid structures with layers of mineral that break down with use to continually expose fresh mineral, sustaining sharpness and consistent cutting for increased throughput and productivity. The mineral is uniformly distributed across the abrasive surface to ensure fixed, consistent contact and cutting action. This product is suited for applications including blending, centerless and cylindrical grinding, intermediate finishing, shaping metalworking, and use in builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
