The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 407EA measures 2" x 72" and features an A60 grit silicon carbide abrasive designed for low to medium pressure applications, providing sharp cutting while conforming to the substrate. It utilizes a flexible JE-weight cloth backing that allows the abrasive to follow surface contours and adapt to imperfections, delivering a superior finish. The abrasive incorporates a grinding aid to help it run cool, minimizing heat-related discoloration or warping of the substrate. Available in a range of grits from A110 to A20, the Trisect™ abrasive employs patented micro replication technology, where microscopic pyramid structures containing layers of mineral break down with use to continuously expose fresh abrasive mineral, maintaining sharpness and consistent cutting action. This durability reduces the frequency of belt changes, enhancing throughput and productivity. The uniform mineral distribution delivers fixed contact with the workpiece for consistent cuts.
