The 3M™ Trisect™ Cloth Belt 237AA measures 2" x 72" with an A30 grit aluminum oxide abrasive, designed for medium-pressure grinding on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. It features an abrasive and resin structure formulated to break down under medium pressure, maintaining fresh, sharp mineral cutting for consistent finishes. The belt includes a grinding aid to help prevent heat buildup, warping, and discoloration. Constructed on an X-weight, durable cloth backing, it provides control, conformability, and effective medium-pressure grinding, while the resin bonded abrasive enhances heat resistance and helps prevent delaminating. The belt ends are joined by a film media splice, which is a thin film-joining media that minimizes chatter marks, ensures smooth running, and consistent finishing. Proprietary Trisect™ abrasives offer finer finishes, faster results, and longer life compared to conventional abrasives, lasting up to five times longer and allowing operators to reduce grit sequences and process steps. The three-dimensional abrasive structures are uniformly distributed to ensure consistent performance and eliminate variation between belts. Typical applications include blending, centerless and cylindrical grinding, finishing, flat finishing, refining, and stroke sanding, serving industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
