The 3M™ Trizact™ cloth belt 407EA measures 3/4" x 18" and features silicon carbide A110 grit, designed for low to medium pressure applications to effectively blend and polish various metal substrates during light-pressure dimensioning and finishing. It has a flexible JE-weight backing that allows the abrasive to conform to surface contours and imperfections for a superior finish. The abrasive incorporates a grinding aid to help it run cool, reducing risks of discoloration or substrate warping due to heat. The belt is available in a range of grades from A110 to A20. Utilizing patented microreplication technology, small three-dimensional pyramid structures containing layers of mineral provide continuous exposure of fresh mineral as they wear down, maintaining sharpness and consistent cutting action. This reduces the need for abrasive changes, increasing throughput and productivity, with uniform mineral distribution ensuring consistent cutting rather than erratic contact. The 3M™ Trizact™ abrasives are suited for precision applications including medical implants, surgical tools, and automotive transmission components, where consistent finishing is critical. Applications are coated and bonded, with primary use in manufacturing industries.
